WTW partners with women’s football leagues

WTW has become the official insurance partner of the Barclays Women’s Super League and Women’s Super League 2 under a multi-year agreement with WSL Football.

The partnership will see WTW work with WSL Football and clubs across both leagues to explore insurance solutions for female athletes. A central component is the planned co-development of player insurance designed for women competing at BWSL and BWSL2 clubs.

The companies said the initiative responds to the differing health considerations and risk exposures faced by female footballers as the women’s game grows and professionalizes.

WSL Football oversees England’s top women’s club competitions, including the Barclays WSL, Barclays WSL2 and the Subway Players Cup, representing 26 clubs.
