Orion180 completes $1.15B reinsurance program for 2026 hurricane season
Orion180 Insurance completed its reinsurance towers ahead of the June 2026 treaty year, securing $1.15 billion in capacity backed by 41 reinsurers.
The program covers the carrier’s admitted and surplus lines business. Capacity is up more than 36% over the 2025 tower, with coverage extended to more catastrophic events.
NOAA projects 8-14 named storms, 3-6 hurricanes and 1-3 major hurricanes for the 2026 Atlantic season.
The carrier grew 69% in 2025. Its product portfolio includes standard homeowners, FLEX Home Insurance and DP Landlord Insurance. FLEX is available in California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts and Texas. DP Landlord is available in nine states.
Orion180 serves more than 10,000 partner agents and 500,000 customers, protecting over $130 billion in assets.
“We value the continued confidence and commitment of our reinsurance partners, which enable us to provide innovative insurance solutions for homeowners and landlords, including those in underserved and catastrophe-exposed markets where coverage options continue to be challenging.” – Ken Gregg, Founder and CEO of Orion180.
