Marsh to acquire ENEOS Insurance Service in Japan

Marsh announced an agreement to acquire ENEOS Insurance Service and the insurance agency business of ENEOS Material Trading as part of an expansion of its insurance and risk advisory operations in Japan.

Founded in 1957 and headquartered in Tokyo, ENEOS Insurance Service provides commercial insurance products and risk advisory services to group companies across Japan, including liability insurance, service station insurance, disaster compensation insurance, car lease insurance, and workers’ compensation coverage. The company also offers employee benefit programs. ENEOS Material Trading’s insurance division focuses on personal insurance solutions for companies in the chemical sector and their employees.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Established in 1955, Marsh Japan operates as a risk advisor and insurance broker serving companies across Japan.
