W. R. Berkley names new head of Berkley Environmental

W. R. Berkley  appointed R. Christopher DeLauder as president of Berkley Environmental, effective immediately. He succeeds Kenneth J. Berger, who has been named chair of the business.

DeLauder has nearly 40 years of experience in environmental insurance and joined Berkley Environmental in 2010, most recently serving as executive vice president. Berger will remain involved during the transition and continue supporting broader company initiatives.

Berkley Environmental provides environmental risk coverage through a regional model where a single underwriter manages multiple lines for a client.
