Addept expands legal expenses offering with commercial legal protection launch
UK-based Addept Insurance Services has launched Enterprise Legal Club, a commercial legal protection insurance solution aimed at micro, small, and medium sized businesses, as it continues to expand its legal expenses insurance portfolio and distribution footprint.
The product combines legal protection insurance with specialist commercial and employment law support, designed to help business owners navigate employment obligations and broader commercial risks. Policyholders also gain access to a Legal Assistance Hub offering interactive legal documents, guidance, and resources, alongside specialist legal advice delivered by Lyons Davidson Solicitors.
“The new Employment Rights Bill will bring in significant changes to employment law that will provide greater protection for workers that will impact all sizes of business. But smaller employers may be more exposed to higher compliance and operating costs as a result. Enterprise Legal Club is not an off the shelf solution. A ‘one-size fits all’ commercial product does not respond to the specific needs of many smaller businesses. By focussing on addressing the gaps that currently exist in products for this important market we are ensuring they have access to the right level of protection and the relevant information customers need to support their commercial needs.” – Richard Finan, managing director of Addept Insurance.
Addept has already launched commercial legal protection schemes with several partners, including MGA ACIES for a recruitment-focused product, Modus for tradespeople and professionals, and Hayes Parsons Insurance Brokers for sole traders, specialist market traders, and open market clients.
Capacity for Enterprise Legal Club is provided by Irwell Insurance Company, an AM Best B++ rated specialist legal expenses and liability insurer.
