MetLife Pet partners with The Animal Foundation
MetLife Pet Insurance has teamed up with The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas to offer 30 days of pet insurance coverage to every new adopter. The Animal Foundation, one of the largest single-site shelters in the U.S., facilitated more than 10,000 adoptions last year and provides medical care to thousands of animals across the region.
The partnership gives adopters immediate access to basic protection against unexpected vet costs, along with MetLife’s app-based tools for managing policies, submitting claims and accessing 24/7 vet chat. MetLife says the collaboration builds on its work with over 100 shelters nationwide and aims to help new pet owners better manage early-care expenses at a time when shelters are operating at capacity.
The Animal Foundation says the added insurance support helps families transition more confidently while ensuring newly adopted pets receive timely care. MetLife Pet Insurance offers customizable plans with options for preventive treatments, dental care and accident or illness coverage.
