Boston Mutual appoints Grant David Ward as CEO
Boston Mutual Life Insurance has named Grant D. Ward Sr., JD, as its next CEO and President, effective January 1, 2026. He will also become President of Life Insurance Company of Boston & New York, succeeding Paul A. Quaranto Jr., who retires at the end of 2025 and will remain Chair of the Board.
Ward joined Boston Mutual Life in 2016 and most recently served as President and COO, after earlier roles overseeing customer experience, claims, legal, and operations. His appointment was unanimously approved by the Board.
Before Boston Mutual, Ward held positions at SBLI of Massachusetts, MetLife, Deloitte, FINRA, John Hancock, the SEC, and Dow Lohnes. He holds degrees from Howard University and DePaul College of Law and is a graduate of LIMRA’s leadership program at Wharton.
He is also active in industry groups and local community organizations.
