Insurer-backed Scribe raises $75 million
Scribe announced a $75 million Series C round led by StepStone, bringing its total funding to $130 million and valuing the company at over $1.3 billion.
Founded in 2019, Scribe is a tool that automatically creates step-by-step guides by watching a user do a task on his/her computer
New York Life isn’t only an investor. The insurer uses Scribe to replace manual, screenshot-heavy documentation with auto-generated guides, reducing the time to create process instructions from hours to minutes. “Today, more than 80 teams at New York Life use Scribe, including Corporate Finance, Human Resources, Investment divisions, Product areas, Business Strategy, Marketing, and Technology.”

The funding accompanies the launch of Scribe Optimize, a new product that gives companies real-time visibility into how work is performed so they can spot bottlenecks, prioritize improvements, and measure ROI.
