Palantir expands SOMPO partnership

Palantir Technologies expanded its partnership with Sompo Holdings in a multi-year agreement through Palantir Technologies Japan KK.

Since 2020, SOMPO has used Foundry to support senior care facilities and more recently to overhaul its claims process, applying AI to fraud detection, claims triage, and underwriting recommendations.

Over 8,000 SOMPO employees now use Foundry daily, with AI agents expected to improve annual financial results by $10 million.

This marks the second expansion of the partnership, following a $50 million agreement in 2023.
