Marsh Japan to acquire Mitsubishi Electric Insurance Service

Marsh Japan has agreed to acquire Mitsubishi Electric Insurance Service (MEIS), a Tokyo-based agency owned by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.

Founded in 1999, MEIS offers a range of commercial insurance products including liability, property, cyber, and D&O, alongside life and medical insurance services. The deal, expected to close in Q4 2025, will strengthen Marsh Japan’s presence in the market and expand its employee benefits offerings through digital platforms. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
