Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company raises $15 million

Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company has emerged from stealth with a $15 million seed round led by Nat Friedman, with participation from Emergence, Terrain, Anthropic cofounder Ben Mann, and former CISOs from Google Cloud and MongoDB.

The startup, which is led by former Anthropic employee Rune Kvist, is building the insurance, audit, and certification infrastructure needed to bring AI agents into the enterprise world.

When it comes to insurance, AIUC will offer coverage for the AI companies so they can protect their enterprise customers. The startup claims that its insurance policies, which cover up to $50 million in losses, are backed by “the world’s most trusted insurers.”
