Sunrise launches travel and cyber insurance

Swiss telecommunications company Sunrise has partnered with insurance-as-a-service company TONI Digital and insurance companies TAS Versicherungen AG and Assista Rechtsschutz AG to offer travel and cyber insurance.

The travel insurance includes coverage for cancellation costs, medical emergencies, loss of luggage, car rental excesses, roadside assistance and public-transport cancellations.

The cyber insurance covers financial loss, recovery of data, and identity theft, and provides legal protection against cyber crime.

TAS Versicherungen AG underwrites the travel and cyber insurance and Assista Rechtsschutz AG offers the legal protection insurance.

The new policies are available online for customers with a Sunrise subscription.

In 2023, Sunsrise partnered with Chubb to launch smartphone insurance.

As of the end of March 2025, the Sunrise customer base included ~3.1 million mobile, ~1.3 million broadband and ~1 million TV customers.
