Direct Line welcomes new leaders to executive committee
Direct Line Group has confirmed three appointments to its Executive Committee.
Maz Bown joined the Group in December 2024 as Group Chief Risk Officer. She will be joined by Angela Yotov, who has been appointed as Group General Counsel, and by Jane Storm who will take over the post of Chief People Officer. Angela and Jane will both join the Group in February this year.
Maz Bown joined the Group from Aviva where she held the post of Chief Risk Officer, UK General Insurance & Health and has over 21 years’ experience as a risk leader. In her new role, Maz is responsible for ensuring enhanced risk management and control across the business.
Angela Yotov joins from Close Brothers Group plc, a UK merchant banking group, where she served as Group General Counsel. Angela has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, advising market leading investment banks and high growth fintech firms, with a proven track record in highly regulated environments.
Jane Storm joins the Group, having previously been the Group People Director at easyJet. She has significant financial services expertise having served as Chief People Officer at Saga plc and brings extensive experience in fast paced consumer retail environments from senior HR Director roles at Tesco plc. Jane’s ability to guide organisations through periods of rapid transformation will prove invaluable in her new role.
Angela will succeed Humphrey Tomlinson, while Jane succeeds Vicky Wallis, both of whom are retiring from the Group.
