Aviva’s acquisition of Direct Line to be reviewed by regulators
Aviva’s £3.7 billion offer to buy Direct Line will be reviewed by regulators.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said it was considering whether the transaction could result in a substantial lessening of competition and has invited feedback from interested parties.
If the deal is approved, it could create the UK’s largest motor insurer.
