Matt Spackman joins EMC as SVP – Chief Human Resources Officer

EMC Insurance announced that Matt Spackman has joined the company as senior vice president – chief human resources officer. In this position, Spackman will oversee all human resources strategy and activity, including the areas of talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards and organizational effectiveness. He replaces Teresa Miller in the role, who is retiring this summer.

Previously, Spackman worked at Krause Group, Kum & Go, Athene, North American Management and Brigham Young University, among others. He also taught as a college professor in research methods, statistics and applied social psychology.

He has a doctorate in social psychology from Georgetown University and a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in psychology from Brigham Young University.
