Tesla Cybertruck involved in an accident

Two weeks following the announcement of Progressive‘s competitive insurance quote for the Tesla Cybertruck, an incident involving the vehicle occurred on Skyline Boulevard, California.

A Reddit post reports that a Toyota Corolla deviated off the road and collided with the Cybertruck. The Tesla driver, who sustained minor injuries, declined medical attention. Notably, the Cybertruck was not in autonomous mode during the accident and the Corolla sustained significant damage to its front end.

Launched in November 2023, four years after its introduction, the Cybertruck features a distinctive design and stainless steel body. Despite Tesla’s internal crash testing for FMVSS compliance, it remains uncertified by NHTSA and IIHS.
