ERGO launches VR app
Munich Re subsidiary ERGO has launched a new virtual reality experience that allows consumers to connect with an advisor in the virtual world.
The insurer, which collaborated with technology agency Demodern, will offer the new consultation service to consumers looking for travel insurance. The app’s first virtual environment includes a mountain, showcasing users the potential risks that can arise during a mountain hike and the benefits of ERGO’s coverage.
Users book a time with a consultant to later receive a link to download the app in the Meta Quest store.
The insurer is currently testing this new experience and it will potentially add the option to buy coverage in the virtual setting.
