Finch raises $15 million

Finch API, a startup offering a payroll API, has raised $15 million in Series A funding led by Menlo Ventures. Additional investors include General Catalyst, Bedrock, Y Combinator, Sempervirens, and several angel investors.

Founded in 2020, the San Francisco-based startup is looking to give third parties better access to payroll and benefits data, similar to what Plaid has done for consumer banking.

The startup claims that it serves over 10,000 employers ranging from startups to publicly-traded companies.
