Moojo raises $2 million
German fintech startup Moojo has secured $2 million in pre-seed funding from APX, Helvetia Venture Fund, MS&AD Ventures, neoteq Ventures, and Red Swan Ventures.
Founded in 2021, Moojo helps freelancers and creators streamline their invoicing process and get paid faster. The startup, which currently features a waitlist for interested users, plans to launch other products such as insurance (in partnership with Hiscox) and loans. Utena Treves, Moojo’s co-founder and CEO, has worked for several insurance companies including RSA, Zurich, and wefox.
“We are delighted to be part of the Moojo journey from the beginning. The team, the vision and their approach sets them apart and gives them a chance to be a leader in this fast-growing $150bn+ market.” – Jon Soberg, managing partner, MS&AD Ventures.
“The team and their approach to embed insurance into their offering has convinced us. We are delighted to be Moojo’s insurance partner and co-create the next-gen of solutions for the creator and the freelancer economy. We strongly believe in the way Moojo tailors and builds solutions for the community: integrated into their customers‘ lives.” – Markus Niederreiner, managing director, Hiscox Germany.
