MAIF Launches Collaborative Insurance Scheme
Altima Assurances, the wholly-owned subsidiary of French insurer MAIF, is the latest to give P2P strategy a try. The digital insurer announced the launch of a new collaborative insurance scheme for electric car drivers, as these peeps “drive better than average” and so MAIF can offer up to a 30% discount in the case of a favorable loss history.

Speaking of Otherwise, there’s more to this story. The one-year-old P2P broker that currently offers health and pet insurance, will be collaborating with Altima Assurances to offer an auto product. Bottom Line: MAIF is supposedly the first French insurer to launch a P2P insurance offering.
