French insurer Acheel raises $35 million

Paris-based digital insurer Acheel closed a $35 million round.  Founded in 2020 and led by co-founder and CEO Ralph Ruimy, Acheel offers home, health, and pet insurance and has the reinsurance support of Hannover Re. It plans to expand to car insurance by the end of the year.

“For 35 years, Acheel has been the first general insurance company to be approved by the Prudential Control and Resolution Authority (ACPR).” – Ralph Ruimy, co-founder and CEO of Acheel.

Bottom Line: Seyna comes to mind as it’s also a primary insurer except Seyna operates a B2B2C model.
