Hannover Re names Tiffany Norman as President and CEO

Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America has named Tiffany Norman as President and CEO, effective January 1, 2026. She will succeed Pete Schaefer, who is set to retire at the end of 2025.

The appointment updates a prior leadership announcement, following Clint Thompson’s decision to move into a global role as Principal Lead, Life & Health Portfolio Steering and Business Performance, reporting to Hannover Re’s Life & Health Reinsurance Executive Board. Thompson had previously been named as Schaefer’s successor.

Norman joined Hannover Re US in 2006 and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Head of Annuity Solutions. She brings nearly 20 years of experience across product development, pricing, valuation, and actuarial leadership, and has played a key role in driving growth within the company’s annuity business.
