Amino raised $25M in Series C
In the name of ‘confident healthcare decisions’, Amino announced it has raised $25 million in a series C round bringing its total funding to date to $45 million. Amino is a database of health claims galore. According to cofounder David Vivero, its company’s database includes more than 220 million people, 9 billion health insurance claims, $1.8 trillion in medical bills analyzed, and 58 million personalized cost estimates for more than 90 common procedures. Call it an ed company in the intersection of health and tech. Also, the newish Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures participated in the round. Amino is using the funds to expand its product to other services such as Amino for Providers and Amino Plus for Employers as well as open up access to the Amino Data Platform for its providers and employer partners.
