Zurich partners with Orange
Telecommunications operator Orange has chosen Zurich as the insurer for the entire range of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets and smartwatches) distributed by the operator to its customers through its Orange and Jazztel brands. This new agreement, with an initial duration of four years, represents a step in the strategic alliance that both firms announced in 2020 with the creation of Orange Seguros by Zurich, which currently markets home, business and life products.
Orange customers will enjoy an insurance product purchase and service experience fully integrated into the operator’s channels, with coverage that varies between €4 and €15. €.50 per month, depending on the value of the device. The product covers robbery (the device is replaced by another with the same or similar characteristics), accidental damage (if the terminal suffers a fall into water, breakage of the screen or strong blows, your terminal will be replaced or repaired at the request of the insured) and fraudulent calls (if there are fraudulent calls associated with the robbery/theft, they will be covered up to a maximum of €2,000).
Customers will receive up to 3 repairs or replacements per year with no maximum amount for them and includes a loan terminal. In addition, all new customers who activate the insurance will enjoy the first free monthly fee in promotion.
“This new step in the agreement between Zurich and Orange allows us to value our digital skills and knowledge developed over the last 3 years. This experience gives us the opportunity to get closer to the needs of our customers, listen to them and offer a differential digital experience.” – Vicente Cancio, CEO of the Zurich Group in Spain.
“For us, the main thing is that our customers have the best experience with the services they need, being aware of the importance of devices today, whether they are smartphones or of another type, for any user, we want to ensure that in the face of unforeseen events that may occur, they have a quick solution and a quality service.” – Diego Martínez, general director of Orange B2C.
