Zurich opens TechXchange fire suppression center
Zurich Resilience Solutions has opened a new fire protection training center in Enschede, Netherlands, in partnership with Johnson Controls. The TechXchange Fire Suppression Center offers hands-on training with real-life fire protection systems, helping businesses and Zurich’s own engineers better understand how to prevent and respond to fires.
The facility features full sprinkler demonstrations, industrial fire simulations, commercial kitchen setups, and examples of water mist and gas extinguishing systems. Zurich plans to use the center to train its 160 fire safety specialists and provide customized courses for customers across industries, strengthening fire prevention and risk management worldwide.
“There are countless reasons a fire can break out in a factory, high-rise office building or warehouse. Our mission is to help our customers prevent damage from happening. We carry out more than 60,000 inspections at customer sites each year. With this new center, we ensure our teams have the right skills to provide effective risk management advice and deliver actionable insights for our customers.” – Dirk De Nil, Global Head of Zurich Resilience Solutions.
