Zurich expands family protection offerings in Italy

Zurich Italy is broadening its coverage in Italy to address overlooked social challenges, including cyberbullying, eating disorders, Hikikomori syndrome, elder fraud, and domestic violence. The insurer is the first in the Italian market to provide psychological support and assistance for these issues, integrating them into its MetroperMetro Quadro and For Family solutions.

The new offering includes a 24/7 toll-free support line for individuals in danger, providing immediate access to temporary accommodation and information on anti-violence centers. Additionally, Zurich now offers six video consultations with psychologists and expands its legal protection to cover fraud and identity theft, focusing on vulnerable groups such as seniors and young people.

With an estimated 50% success rate for scams targeting the elderly and only 47% of victims filing complaints, Zurich aims to enhance protection through complementary legal and assistance services.

The expanded coverage also includes pet protection and is immediately available through Zurich agents.
