Zurich and Plenitude expand partnership

Zurich Insurance Group and Eni Plenitude have renewed their partnership with a multi-year agreement and launched a new parametric insurance product.

Zurich Meteo Protetto is a two-year policy available to new Plenitude electricity and gas users, offering automatic payouts of up to €145 per year when local temperatures deviate from historical averages. Weather data is verified by Exante, with a portal for tracking eligibility and payouts.

With Zurich Meteo Protetto, we strengthen our commitment to promoting economic resilience through simple and transparent protection that contributes to greater stability of energy costs in an ever-changing climate and economic environment.” – Michele Colio, Head of Distribution, Marketing, and Customer.

“We are pleased to continue and expand our partnership with Zurich, which has allowed us to offer innovative services to help them better manage their energy over the years. The Zurich Meteo Protetto policy enriches our portfolio with the aim of providing our customers with an increasingly comprehensive range of solutions.” – Vincenzo Viganò, Director of Retail Italian Market at Plenitude.

The partnership, which began in 2019, will continue to focus on developing insurance solutions tied to Plenitude’s offering.
