Zurich and Marsh launch API connectivity

Zurich announced its collaboration with Marsh to digitally exchange core policy and premium information of mutual multinational customers through API connectivity.

This initiative was successfully piloted in the US and is now launching globally.

Establishing API connectivity will ensure that both Zurich and Marsh have access to the same high-quality information on their shared accounts in real time. This is especially crucial in the realm of multinational programs, where vast amounts of information are manually updated and exchanged daily, typically via Excel spreadsheets.

“Structuring multinational programs is a highly complex matter that depends on reliable policy and risk data. Through our collaboration with Marsh and harnessing the capabilities of digital connectivity, we aim to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our services, providing our shared customers with a distinct and seamless experience. There are significant benefits to this approach.” – Jonathan Newbery, Head of Broker and Customer Proposition Zurich Multinational.

“By utilising the key coverage and premium information available from Zurich into our Global Connect platform, our leading multinational technology, we enable our client teams to focus more time on advising our clients in making better, data-driven risk management and insurance decisions. Digital innovations, like our new API connection with Zurich, have the potential to significantly transform the insurance industry in terms of improving operational efficiency and elevating client value.” – Robert Burns, Global Leader, Network Management, Marsh Multinational.
