Zurich adds virtual physio and nutrition support to group protection offering
Zurich Corporate Risk has expanded its ZGP24 service for Group Protection customers, adding virtual physiotherapy, dietitian and nutrition support, and a new online symptom checker. The enhancements are available to all Zurich Group Protection customers and their employees from January 19, 2026, delivered through HealthHero .
The update adds access to 30-minute virtual physiotherapy sessions focused on musculoskeletal health, personalized dietitian and nutrition consultations, and a symptom checker designed to guide employees to appropriate care. Zurich positioned the additions as a response to growing workplace health pressures, particularly musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, which continue to drive lost working days and specialist referrals across the UK workforce.
Data from Zurich’s Virtual GP service shows MSK issues were the second most common reason for consultations in 2025 and the leading driver of specialist referrals, reinforcing the need for earlier, more accessible intervention.
“At Zurich, we recognise that workplace wellbeing is essential to building resilient businesses and thriving individuals. We want to provide much more than traditional insurance, it’s about creating a culture where health support is preventative, accessible, and empowering. By working together, we’re helping employers provide their employees with the tools they need to stay healthy, productive, and engaged. By making expert guidance and timely care available at the touch of a button, we’re enabling employees to take control of their wellbeing in ways that fit modern working lives. Together, we’re shaping healthier workplaces and a stronger workforce for the years ahead.” – Nick Homer, Head of Market Management.
“We’re delighted to expand our partnership with Zurich to include physiotherapy and dietician support alongside GP services. Making it easier for employees to access timely MSK and dietary support helps people feel better, stay active and perform at their best, which ultimately supports healthier, more productive workplaces.” – Aseem Sadana, CEO of HealthHero UK & Ireland.
