YourMechanic Founder Launches Insurance Startup

Art Agrawal, the founder and former CEO of YourMechanic, has launched an insurance startup called Jerry. This is Jerry:

Think: a Palo Alto-based startup that offers an AI-led insurance shopper . Wait, there’s more. (1) Jerry doesn’t require you to fill out long forms or spend hours on the phone. Simply tell Jerry 4 things about yourself and you’re all set. It literally takes 45 seconds (Jerry says so). (2) Jerry will send you quotes from the top 20 insurance companies for the exact same coverage you have today. (3) You’ll get new quotes every time your policy comes up for renewal. When you’re ready to switch, Jerry will do all the paperwork to set you up with your new policy. Oh, and somehow Jerry managed to sneak in an umbrella icon:

Last, Jerry has secured seed funding from several investors, including Y Combinator. PS. YourMechanic is a Mountain View-based company established in 2012 to offer car repair and maintenance services. It has raised $28M from several investors, including AmFam and Ashton Kutcher.
