WorkComp America Plans November Launch
WorkersCompensation.com has announced the creation of a new insurance partnership that will enable it to offer workers’ compensation and other business-related insurance coverage to its online visitors. The new entity, WorkComp America, LLC, is formed in partnership with Russ Bobbitt, CEO of Purmort Martin Insurance in Sarasota, Florida.
WorkersCompensation.com is the largest online resource available for workers’ compensation information. The company serves over 5 million unique visitors per year and offers a variety of compliance data and forms management services for the workers’ compensation industry. The addition of insurance products is seen as a natural fit by the company, as experience has already demonstrated a demand for the service. According to Robert Wilson, CEO of WorkersCompensation.com, the business has seen thousands of companies seek insurance solutions through the website over the last 20 years. He says, “In the last decade or so, we’ve had almost 70,000 inquiries from companies needing workers’ comp insurance. We have not had a good solution for them, but with the establishment of WorkComp America, that will change.” Wilson and his management team believe that visitors should eventually be able to do many things related to workers’ compensation directly through WorkersCompensation.com. “Buying insurance is just another obvious service,” he says.
Purmort & Martin Insurance Agency was founded in 1959 in Sarasota and provides insurance and risk management mitigation for all types of business. Russ Bobbitt, the President and CEO of Purmort & Martin has over 28 years’ experience in the insurance business and has been a licensed professional since 1991. He started his career with RISCORP, a Sarasota based Worker’s Compensation insurance carrier where he handled claims for some of Florida’s largest self-insured and governmental organizations. According to Bobbitt, “Technology has made the buying process for insurance much more convenient for small to medium sized companies. We think this product will be ideal for those business owners.”
WorkComp America, LLC will be jointly managed by both Bobbitt and Wilson, who will serve as Co-CEO’s for the company. The company expects to launch service by November of 2019.
