Wopta launches mobile app

Wopta Assicurazioni, an Italian insurance startup targeting SMEs, has launched a new mobile app. Policyholders will be able to manage their policy and initiate a claim.

Founded in 2022, Wopta announced a pre-seed round of ~$3.4 million in June. The startup acts as an MGA and offers a range of coverages for artisans, SMEs and freelancers.

The startup has partnered with Munich Re Italia, Global Assistance S.p.A., REVO S.p.A. (Elba Assicurazioni), and AXA.
