With a fresh seed round Percipient looks to build a presence in the US

Singapore-based 3-year-old data startup Percipient announced it has closed a ~$712K seed round led by Mark Torkos. The company’s flagship product UniConnect allows companies to query data from all sources and feeds (think: APIs, blockchain, and IoTs) through a single SQL interface. Here’s one use case. Percipient helped one insurer combine data from across servers, emails and twitter feeds to provide its CSRs with real time customer profiles. Bottom Line: with the fresh round of funding, Percipient plans to deepen its R&D efforts, expand its operations in the Asia-­Pacific region, and build an onshore presence in the US. Welcome.
