Western National reports 2025 results

Western National Insurance reported $3.2 billion in total assets for 2025, up 17.8% year over year, with direct premium written reaching $1.4 billion, a 9% increase from continuing operations.

Net income rose to $154.9 million from $96.8 million in 2024, while surplus grew to $1.3 billion, up 16.6%.

The results reflect performance across the group’s carriers, including Western National Mutual Insurance Company, American Freedom Insurance Company, Pioneer Specialty Insurance Company, Umialik Insurance Company, Western National Assurance Company, and affiliate Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company.

The Minnesota-based group writes personal and commercial lines across 20 states and distributes exclusively through independent agents.
