Wellthie is now inactive

New York-based benefits platform Wellthie announced it is ceasing operations.

“Wellthie was founded with a mission to simplify how people learn about, choose, and use their health insurance. We are proud to have helped over a million people find health coverage for themselves, their families, and their employees. Thank you to all of our users, customers, investors, and team members who supported us and were a part of this journey. In 2020, we decided to end our company’s operations. However, our belief and work towards our mission continue. We look forward to staying in touch.”

Founded in 2013, Wellthie was an insurance technology company offering broker and carrier shopping tools to simplify insurance distribution for small businesses and individuals. In 2019, the company launched a health insurance marketplace for small businesses to search and compare health insurance costs and options.

The company was backed by Aflac, IA Capital Group and Plug and Play among others.
