Vertical Insure raises $8.5 million
Vertical Insure disclosed it raised $8.5 million in equity financing, according to a Form D filed with the SEC on June 12. The offering began on June 2 and involved 12 investors.
The Minneapolis-based insurtech, founded in 2020, offers embedded insurance at the point of sale and has raised $14.52 million to date across three rounds.
More recently, Inntopia announced a new partnership with Vertical Insure to embed trip protection into its booking platform, enabling ski resorts to offer insurance at checkout. The move follows a 2023 integration with Spot Insurance for injury coverage, refund protection, Cancel for Any Reason, and trip protection.
In February 2025, I reached out to Inntopia for an update on its relationship with Spot but received no response.
According to LinkedIn, Vertical Insure has a team of 28 employees, reflecting 87% headcount growth over the past year.
