Verisk launches CargoNet RouteScore API to combat rising cargo theft

Verisk has introduced CargoNet RouteScore API, a data-driven solution to assess cargo theft risk along US and Canadian routes.

Using a proprietary algorithm, the API assigns a risk score from 1 to 100 based on factors like cargo type, route history, and theft-prone truck stops, helping companies implement targeted security measures.

With cargo theft up 25% in 2024, RouteScore integrates with transportation management and supply chain risk platforms, enabling insurers and logistics firms to mitigate losses and enhance cargo protection.
