USAA expands in Chesapeake

USAA is expanding its presence in Chesapeake, Virginia, with plans to hire over 500 employees in the next two years. The move follows the purchase of a nearly 200,000-square-foot office at 1341 Crossways Blvd, five minutes from its current location.

The new space will include a cafeteria, fitness center, market, and a hands-on claims training facility. The expansion supports USAA’s growing member base—up by 1 million last year—and reinforces its connection to the local military community, with 20 installations nearby and 15,000 service members transitioning to civilian life annually. The new office is set to open in March 2026.
