USAA adds Stellantis Financial Insurance and TIMS as appointed agencies
USAA has appointed Stellantis Financial Insurance and Toyota Insurance Management Solutions USA (TIMS) as new agencies, signaling interest in embedded auto insurance partnerships within dealership and OEM ecosystems.
The two appointments reflect different stages of OEM insurance maturity. For Stellantis Financial Insurance, this appears to be its first direct carrier appointment as Stellantis builds out its captive financial arm in the US. Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) is a relatively new captive supporting a portfolio of global brands including Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Opel, Citroën, and Maserati.
This news follows Stellantis’ partnership with bolt to offer auto insurance through the automaker’s brand websites and mobile apps.
Recent job posting adds more context: Stellantis Financial Insurance recently hired an Insurance Dealer Relationship Manager tasked with driving insurance penetration across Stellantis dealerships.
TIMS, by contrast, is a long-established OEM insurance provider with nationwide distribution ties. The company has partnered over the years with carriers such as Allstate, Chubb, and GEICO.
