Uprise raises $1.4 million
Uprise, the California-based startup looking to make premium wealth management services accessible to everyone, has raised $1.4 million in pre-seed funding from Contrary Capital, Hustle Fund, On Deck, and Dash Fund. A group of individual investors including SoFi co-founder Dan Mackin, Gusto co-founder Eddie Kim, Cash App co-founder and CEO Michael Giles and Kin co-founder and CEO Sean Harper, also backed the startup.
Founded in 2021, Uprise offers a free app that takes in a user’s full financial picture to later offer recommendations on what to do with their money. The startup monitors users’ finances and life changes to find optimization opportunities.
Some of the areas Uprise offers help with include retirement, saving for big goals, debt reduction, maximizing employer benefits, and finding the right credit cards.
