Trupanion partners with Shelters United to embed pet insurance at adoption

Trupanion has partnered with Shelters United to integrate pet insurance coverage and education directly into the adoption process, aiming to reduce returns driven by unexpected veterinary costs. Through the collaboration, eligible Shelters United members can participate in Trupanion’s Shelter & Rescue Support Program, which includes an Adoption Day Offer providing 30 days of comprehensive coverage for newly adopted cats and dogs at no upfront cost in applicable states.

The partnership is designed to give adopters immediate financial protection from day one while offering shelters a tool to support long-term adoption success. Trupanion’s Shelter & Rescue Program is free for shelters to join, requires no long-term commitment, and is positioned as a way to help reduce returns while improving access to care for newly adopted pets.
