Treefin AG Changes Status To An Insurance Broker

Munich-based digital insurance manager Treefin announced it is now acting as a licensed broker . Till now, the startup, which was established in 2014 and has raised $588K, was only acting as a digital insurance manager. Also, earlier this year, Wüstenrot & Württembergische (W&W) has acquired a majority stake (75%) in the startup. “We do not want to communicate precise targets with regard to sales and the volume of contracts” – Treefin’s CEO, Andreas Gensch. Bottom Line: servicing 10K app users for free, for now.
