Traveloka Pushes Further Into Insurance

Traveloka , an online travel agency with over 40 million app downloads and a sweet spot with millennials, is pushing further into travel insurance.

According to its app, the “new” flight and travel insurance product is available in Indonesia and is underwritten by Asuransi Simas Insurtech. The app also indicates plans to expand to hotel insurance.

According to Traveloka’s site, MSIG is its travel insurance partner in Thailand, while, Chubb is its travel insurance partner in Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia, and by the look of things – it has yet to announce/partner with an insurance provider in the Philippines and Australia. Did You Know? Research from data company Alvara Research recently conducted with 1,204 millennial respondents showed that 79% of all respondents are regular Traveloka users.
