It’s Time for Pakistan To Get a Mobile Wallet Solution

Pakistan-based FINCA Microfinance Bank announced the launch of SimSim, a mobile payment platform created by fintech software provider Finja . Supposedly it is Pakistan’s first ever digital wallet. Now, anyone with a valid CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card, aka an identity card issued by Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority) can open an account via their smartphone, and will be able to submit payments to a “diverse pool of merchants”.
