Thumbtack acquires digital home management platform Setter
San Francisco-based online marketplace for home professinals Thumbtack , has acquired Toronto based home management platform Setter that was founded in 2016 and is now a team of ~29.
With Setter, Thumbtack homeowners will receive a virtual home consultation led by a home care expert. During this video consultation, homeowners will share the condition of critical parts of their home including roofs, heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing, windows, doors and more. Following the consultation, a home specialist will use data-driven insights to develop personalized plans that homeowners can easily understand and use to complete both urgent repairs and seasonal maintenance projects.
Setter currently has a partnership with Onlia where new customers are entitled to a free home inspection.
