The Mutual Group appoints Brett Humphrey as Chief Financial Officer

The Mutual Group, an integrated insurance operations platform serving the mutual industry, announced the appointment of Brett Humphrey as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer.

As Chief Financial Officer, Humphrey will bring his extensive experience developing and leading high-performing finance organizations to the company to grow their member base and deliver high-level capabilities and great results to their mutual insurance company members.

Previously, Humphrey held various senior positions during his nine-year tenure at American International Group in New York and Japan, most recently as VP, Separation Finance. Humphrey joined AIG from Aegon Sony Life Insurance, where he led as Head of Actuarial and Finance. He also served as Chief Financial Officer at Hartford Life Japan. Humphrey earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, as well as dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Utah.
