The chosen ones

Singapore-based NYUC Income insurer, which launched an insurtech accelerator back in August in partnership with VC firm Infocomm Investments has announced its first cohort. Two from Taiwan: (1) Health2Sync targets diabetes patients with its cable that connects one’s smartphone to one’s glucose meter to get the two devices talking. (2) ThinkCloud offers a selfie video signature solution to eliminate fraud.  Two from Korea: (3) Innoplaylab is a smart home robot platform offering a sense of security coupled with a dose of charm; because what else is there to say about robots. (4) Konolabs, which also operates out of San Fran, offers an AI-powered scheduling solutions for businesses and is loosely tied to insurance. One from Thai: (5) Anywhere 2 Go offers software that facilitates auto insurance claims processing; you may be more familiar with its consumer facing brand called Claim Di. Four from Singapore: (6) NephTech offers a device and analytics platform for those suffering from kidney failure. (7) Pear Comms, better known as QuickDesk, offers a CRM app. (8) PolicyPal is the Asian version of Knip, which was previously part of Startupbootcamp FinTech Singapore. And (9) Zumata is an AI-powered travel technology company.

In sum, sounds a lot like IoT, Video, IoT, AI, Mobile, Analytics, Mobile, Mobile, AI. Also sounds a lot like: better healthcare, less fraud, less claims, productivity, better customer service, better healthcare, productivity, better customer service, and better customer service. The customer is already winning .
