Tesla launches new extended warranty program

Tesla has launched a new extended warranty offering for US owners of Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y.

The new program covers an owner for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Owners can only purchase the warranty before their basic vehicle limited warranty expires.

The offering does not cover the vehicle’s battery or drive unit, which have their own separate warranty.
