Tesco and Aviva launch free life coverage for new parents
Tesco Insurance and Money Services has launched Free Parent Life Cover in partnership with Aviva , offering eligible parents £15,000 of free life insurance for 12 months for each child under the age of four.
The offer is available to Tesco customers and Clubcard members and is designed as an entry point into life insurance. Parents can sign up in less than two minutes without providing bank details or completing medical questionnaires.
Tesco plans to promote the proposition across its stores and digital channels, including baby and toddler categories. The retailer said it reaches 3.4 million households with young children through its stores each year.
Alongside the free coverage, Tesco Insurance and Money Services will provide educational content and tools to help parents assess their protection needs, as well as personalized communications, Clubcard offers, and partner benefits aimed at supporting early parenthood.
“This is a significant initiative by Tesco and Aviva to actively engage millions of families with protection insurance and supports our ambition to strengthen financial resilience across UK households by reaching customers through a diverse range of distribution channels.” – Daren Boys, protection distribution director at Aviva.
