TensorFlight Closed A Seed Round of Funding

Mountain View, California-based TensorFlight, a company that provides actionable insights from aerial imagery, has just closed a seed round of funding . The seed was led by Hemi Ventures, with Amy Gu from Hemi joining the TensorFlight’s board of directors. TensorFlight also received support from an earlier investor, Boost VC.

TensorFlight, established in 2016 by Robert Kozikowski and Zbigniew Wojna, offers technology that can automatically analyze satellite, aerial, drone and street view imagery to automate slow and expensive manual in-person building inspections.

Specifically, for property insurers, TensorFlight can (1) provide detailed information on a property to better understand the exposure (think: state of the building, roof shape, trees, building degradation and damages, solar panels and windows, activity around the property), (2) assist underwriters by highlighting areas that are worth investigating, and (3) resolve simple claims and prioritize where to send the adjuster to.
